Another major activity of the SRTC is conducting statistical training. Non-degree training programs are carried out to upgrade the quality of the statistical workforce in support of the needs of the statistical system. As a training institution, the SRTC is accredited by the the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Completion of SRTC statistical training courses can be credited as graduate units.

Statistical training courses of the SRTC address the development of statistical expertise at various levels of competencies. The Training Division offers diverse statistical training programs that feature lectures, discussions, workshops and computer applications.

Since 1988, the SRTC continues to engage the services of resource persons who are well-known statistical experts in their respective fields. They come from government institutions, private sector and academe.
