    Training Division 
 

SRTC holds the mandate of developing comprehensive and integrated research and training program on statistical theories, concepts, methodologies. Invariably, the Training Division conducts non-degree training programs that seeks to upgrade the quality of the statistical workforce in support of the needs of the statistical system.

      Statistical Training Courses
 

The SRTC statistical course offerings are geared toward capacity building initiatives where the world of statistics will be introduced and better appreciated. Participants will truly benefit from the practical, “hands-on” knowledge, skills and experience in statistics that they will acquire from the trainings that SRTC conducts. The courses deal with statistical capacity building at various levels of competencies using lectures, discussions, workshops and hands-on computer applications, as tools of learning. Trainings are conducted on a 3-day, 5-day or 8-day basis, depending on course content/modules. Training fees include training kit, meal, snacks and certificate of completion.

     Customized Training Courses
 

SRTC training courses are classified into regular and customized. Every year, regular courses are offered to the general public to encourage participation. For the latest listing of these trainings, please refer to the course calendar. Customized courses are trainings conducted specifically suited to the needs of clients/participating agencies. SRTC is proud to have conducted customized trainings to agencies like the HOR/CPBD; DBM; PSSC; SBMA;The Ombudsman; SBMA; DOT; DSWD; DAR; DILG; NAPOLCOM; NNC; TRANSCO; PAL; CHR; NEDA; BSP; BAS; NSO; NSCB; CHED, to name a few.

     International Training Courses
 

SRTC also welcomed clients from other countries who participated in our regular courses. These were participants from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and DPRK. Partnerships with international institutions to hosts specialized trainings were likewise arranged such as regional and country courses sponsored by UNSIAP, UNFPA, FAO and WB.

      Facilities
   
 
Computer Laboratory
The SRTC Computer Laboratory (COMLAB) can accept 20-25 training participants. It is complete with the latest audio-visual equipment such as Smartboard Interactive White Board, LCD projector, lapel and wireless microphones, and branded desktop computers.
     
 
Training Conference Rooms
SRTC has training conference rooms ideal for small group trainings or meetings. These are also available for trainings that are not computer-based.
     
 
Library
The SRTC Library has a collection of books, statistical journals, government publications, and research projects conducted or coordinated. It is open to the public from 8:00-5:00 pm, with noon break.
     
 
Accommodation Rooms
Training participants are welcome to stay at the SRTC accommodation rooms for female and male, at a rate of P150/day. Accommodation is on a first-come, first-served basis as the rooms can only admit a maximum number of 10 males and 14 female transients.

  • Schedule of SRTC Training Courses are subject to change without prior notice. Please call up the Training Division for confirmation..
  • Registered participants will be notified of any changes in the schedule.
  • Full payment of training fees should be made payable to Statistical Research and Training Center. 
  • The policy of “NO REGISTRATION PAYMENT, NO RESERVATION” for every training course applies. This means that slots will only be considered available and reserved to participants only upon advanced full payment of course fees.
  • Payments made to SRTC is not subject to withholding tax as per REVENUE REGULATIONS 04-88, Section 3a, "Withholding tax shall not apply on money payments to government agencies ... received in the exercise of its functions."
  • Registration fees do not include charges when paying through banks, and such charges shall be shouldered by the participant.
