Development of a Design for the Conduct of National Migration Survey (2002) 

 

Abstract

This research undertaking came up with a design for the conduct of a national migration survey, which has never been done before in the country. The activity has the following as its outputs: (i) sampling design, (ii) questionnaire design, and (iii) estimation procedure. In general, the survey accounted for internal migration and international migrants in the country. Some of the information that will be collected in this study are: (i) migration history, (ii) education, (iii) training, (iv) income, (v) occupation, (vi) industry, (vii) household characteristics, (vii) housing, (ix) asset ownership, and (x) marriage and family.
