Abstract

The unavailability of complete and updated frame for agriculture and fisheries censuses and surveys limits the design for the Census of Agriculture and Fisheries and the capability to produce estimates at the level desired and provided for in the budget. This project explored alternative sampling designs given the available frames or other frames to be constructed with the proposed sampling design. It evaluated the sampling strategies utilized in the previous censuses of agriculture and fisheries and propose alternative sampling design. Area frames were studied as another option, piloted and tested in Quirino, Isabela to compliment the current list frames.
