Abstract

This project is geared on developing an appropriate methodology for efficient early warning system in terms of demand and supply of broiler meat and pork that further developed a Broiler and Swine Information and Database, and its Data System. The major final output of the project is a publication on “Broiler Situation and Outlook” and “Pork Situation and Outlook” both of which are intended to be regular publications. These outputs show forecasts of supply and demand of pork and chicken meat, and other information about the sector. Said forecasts, like what the DA practices, are used as basis for decision to import or not these products and at the same time, whether local demand is satisfied.
