Abstract
Executive Order No. 36 has authorized anew the reorganization of the administrative regions in Mindanao with the end in view of promoting efficiency in the government, accelerating social and economic development and improving public services in the area. This research studied the effect of the reorganization of the administrative regions in Mindanao in the Philippine Statistical System in terms of comparability of data series to be generated, sampling design of existing surveys and censuses. The report enumerated the effect of the Executive Order on the existing administrative set up of the major statistical agencies, implications on the changes of geographic codes for newly created administrative units, implications on primary and secondary data series as well as censuses and surveys that require redesigning of the sampling design for Mindanao regions. Also, a supplementary study to determine the impact of recently issued EO 103 which reorganized Region IV.
