The training provides basic statistical concepts in data collection and analysis for project monitoring and evaluation. The course will enable participants to conduct a quantitative assessment of their own project with the aid of time-tested statistical tools, techniques and procedures for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
What will participants gain?
The training course will enable the participants to formulate a Logical Framework Approach (LFA) where clear indicators are set for goals and objectives in a logical framework matrix about the project identified; operationally define the variables in the identified indicators; identify the type of variables and the sources of data; prepare dummy statistical tables prior to preparation of data collection instrument; and identify and apply appropriate descriptive statistical measures for data analysis and interpretation. The course will take the form of lecture, discussion, group workshops, presentation and critiquing.
