The training provides basic statistical concepts on data collection and analysis for project monitoring and evaluation. The course will equip participants in conducting a quantitative assessment of projects using time-tested statistical tools, techniques and procedures for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
What will participants gain?
The training course will make participants: i) formulate a Logical Framework Approach (LFA) where clear indicators are set for goals and objectives in a logical framework matrix about the project identified; ii) define operationally the variables in the identified indicators; iii) identify type of variables and sources of data; iv) prepare dummy statistical tables prior to preparation of data collection instrument; and v) identify and apply appropriate descriptive statistical measures for data analysis and interpretation. The course will have lectures, discussions, group workshops, presentations and critiquing.
Who can participate?
The training is especially suited for planners, project managers, development officers, monitoring officers, and middle-level policy makers.
