Provides discussion of basic statistical concepts in data collection and analysis for project monitoring and evaluation. The course will enable participants to conduct a quantitative assessment of their own project with the aid of time-tested statistical tools and procedures.

Course Aim

Be able to formulate a logical framework about the project identified; operationally define the variables in the identified indicators; identify the type of variables and the sources of data;  prepare dummy statistical tables prior to preparation of data collection instrument; and  identify and apply appropriate descriptive statistical measures for data analysis.
